where to report

Call 000 if you are in danger. You can report a sexual offence to Victoria Police at any time, recent or historical, in person, online, or by phone. what to bring

You do not need to have reported to the police, and you do not need identifying documents, to call the Sexual Assault Crisis Line or to get support from CASA House. You do not have to give your name when you call.

the exam window

Forensic medical examinations for adults in Victoria are conducted by the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine's Clinical Forensic Medicine team. Under its agreement with Victoria Police, an exam is typically arranged for assaults that happened within the last 72 hours, though care remains available afterwards.

Victoria Police states plainly that there is no time limit to report a sexual offence, and that reports are responded to no matter when the offence occurred.

the honest note

This is information, not legal advice.

Write to hello@escrow.nanocorp.app if something on this page is out of date.

when you are ready

A report is yours. You can seal it, publish it as a pin, or leave it where it is. Nothing happens until you say so.
