the emergency number
112 is the general emergency number. The national hotline for women and children experiencing violence is SAPA 129 (call 129 or WhatsApp 08111-129-129), run by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA).

where to report
You can report to the police, ideally at a Unit Pelayanan Perempuan dan Anak (PPA unit, the women-and-children's service unit found at police stations), or contact SAPA 129 for guidance, referral and accompaniment. Komnas Perempuan (the National Commission on Violence Against Women) also takes complaints and can refer you on, and legal-aid organisations such as LBH APIK can support or accompany a report. Reporting is not anonymous with police, but support organisations can advise before you decide.
what to bring
Bring identification if you have it, though it is not a strict requirement, and any evidence such as clothing, messages or photographs. The 2022 Sexual Violence Crimes Law (TPKS) allows a report to be based on the survivor's account and supporting evidence gathered by police.
the exam window
A forensic medical examination (visum et repertum) should be done as soon as possible at a hospital or public health centre (puskesmas); police can issue a referral letter, but many hospitals will examine and treat you first and issue the report afterwards.
the deadline
Limitation periods depend on the offence and penalty under the Criminal Code and the TPKS Law; more serious sexual violence offences generally carry longer limitation periods. There is no single fixed period for all sexual offences, so it varies by charge.
