where to report
You can report to An Garda Síochána at your local Dublin Garda station, by calling 999 or 112, or by emailing reportsexualcrime@garda.ie. You can also go directly to the Dublin Sexual Assault Treatment Unit, with or without Garda involvement.
what to bring
No documents are required to report to An Garda Síochána or to attend the Dublin Sexual Assault Treatment Unit. You can bring a support person or a Rape Crisis Centre worker with you.
the exam window
The Dublin Sexual Assault Treatment Unit, located at the Rotunda Hospital, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, according to Rape Crisis Ireland. You can book an appointment by calling 01 8171736, or contact the Rotunda switchboard on 01 8171700 outside opening hours and ask for the unit.
the deadline
There is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault to the Gardaí, according to Rape Crisis Ireland. You can report at any point, and the Gardaí can still investigate.
