If you are in danger right now, call your local emergency number. Escrow is not an emergency service.
How to report sexual assault in Metro Manila
This is what we have read and stored about reporting in Metro Manila. Read only the part you need. You do not have to decide anything today.
Checked against official sources on 25 August 2026.
the emergency number
If you are in danger right now, call this number. Escrow is not an emergency service and cannot send anyone to you.
where to report
Go to the Women and Children Protection Desk at any PNP police station, or the PNP Women and Children Protection Center in Camp Crame. You can also report to the NBI Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Division or the city prosecutor's office.
what to bring
No documents or ID are required to make a report. You may be asked to give a sworn statement describing what happened.
the exam window
Seek a medico-legal examination as soon as possible at a hospital with a Women and Children Protection Unit. HIV prevention medication works best if started within 72 hours, but a medico-legal exam is not required before reporting and there is no fixed cutoff for it.
the deadline
There is no rule requiring you to report within hours or days. Rape punishable by life imprisonment can generally be prosecuted for up to 20 years, and lesser forms up to 15 years, after the act.
support organisations
People near you who do this every day.
These are independent of Escrow. They can sit with you through a report, and they can also just talk.

This is information, not legal advice.
Requirements change, deadlines are read differently by different offices, and a station can move. Nobody here is your lawyer. For advice about your own case, ask a lawyer or a support organisation in Metro Manila.

when you are ready
A report is yours. You can seal it, publish it as a pin, or leave it where it is. Nothing happens until you say so.
