If you are hurt
Go to a hospital or a clinic. Say that you were sexually assaulted and ask for the examination they do for it.
Go to any hospital emergency department for a free forensic exam. A rape kit is generally most useful if done within 96 hours, and every New York hospital must provide this care regardless of whether you report to police.
Where you can report in New York City
Call 911 or go to the NYPD Special Victims Division. You can also call the NYPD rape hotline, or report at any hospital emergency department, which must offer to contact police for you.
